The New Hampshire Army National Guard has opened a new recruitment office on the campus of 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College. The office marks the first National Guard presence at a NH community college.

淭his partnership is about our students,� said 麻豆社 president, Patrick Tompkins. 淏y working with the National Guard, we can provide our campus unbeatable access to all the opportunities that this avenue of military service has to offer.�

The National Guard office on 麻豆社檚 campus will be centrally located in Little Hall攖he same building that hosts a bustling cafeteria, 24/7 Campus Safety department, and the college檚 engineering labs.

淲e are grateful for the opportunity to partner with 麻豆社,� said NH Adjutant Gen. David Mikolaities. 淓stablishing a presence on campus allows us to share the career options and benefits of serving in the New Hampshire Army National Guard directly with students. They have access to extensive education assistance, including full tuition waiver, GI Bill and credentialing programs, scholarships, and options to transfer benefits to spouses. We can be another resource for them as they pursue their calling.�

麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College is creating opportunities for students to enter high-demand healthcare careers with the launch of a new Associate Degree and certificate in Healthcare Management. This new area of study will open doors to jobs in the business and operational side of healthcare.

淔or people who are interested in getting in healthcare, but they really don檛 want to have that direct patient care involvement, there are so many opportunities on the operational side,� said faculty member, Diane Davis.

Students can complete the new Healthcare Management coursework in convenient eight-week blocks. The program focuses on experiential learning and includes foundational courses on leadership, healthcare finance, quality patience experience, management, and more. It was developed collaboratively by 麻豆社 faculty and industry professionals.

淭his program will prepare students with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage healthcare organizations, lead teams, and navigate the complex and evolving healthcare environment,� said Hector Iweka, 麻豆社檚 vice president for academic and workforce education.

淲e know there檚 such a big need for this program of study,� said Deborah Remillard, department chair of business & professional studies. 淲e檝e had a lot of verbal interest in this, because we檝e been putting it together for a while, and now students can apply and get started this fall.�

The new Healthcare Management programs are expected to appeal not only to recent high school graduates, but also to working professionals looking to change careers and enter one of NH’s fastest-growing industries.

This summer, 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College will kick off a new nursing aid certificate program. After just eight weeks, participating students will be prepared to take a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) exam and join one of the state檚 most in-demand careers.

淣o matter which area of the field interests you, you’ll find job opportunities in convenient locations everywhere,� said LNA program coordinator, Katherine Moore.

Moore explained that LNAs can pursue careers in nursing, long-term care, and rehabilitation facilities as well as hospitals, schools, and home care. A wide variety of schedules and hours are often available.

麻豆社檚 LNA certificate program includes five days in the college檚 learning lab on the Concord campus, and eight days of hands-on learning in a nearby clinical facility. The inaugural summer program features clinical days at Merrimack County Nursing Home.

The remaining reading and writing portions of the course can be completed online, allowing for a high level of flexibility for students. Instructors and 麻豆社 staff will be available to support students during the entire eight-week training.

To remove additional barriers, 麻豆社 has planned a special Basic Life Support class to kick off the LNA program. Rather than requiring students to complete this three-hour training before enrolling, it is offered the same afternoon as orientation.

淚 don檛 think there is a career better suited to someone who wants to help others,� said Moore. 淚 honestly feel like LNAs make the biggest difference for someone in care.�

All 35 recent graduates of the Radiologic Technology program at 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam on their first attempt. 麻豆社檚 100% first-time pass rate far exceeds the national average of 84%.

Students sit for the ARRT exam after completing 麻豆社檚 24-month program, which combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience in operating X-ray equipment, positioning patients, selecting technical factors and providing safe patient care. Once they pass the exam and obtain a state license, graduates can work as radiographers anywhere in the country, caring for patients in hospitals, clinics, emergency rooms and operating rooms. Nearly all graduates have a job lined up before graduation.

Program Director Kate Marcouillier said, “I’m incredibly proud of this cohort for achieving a 100% pass rate on the ARRT exam. This group holds special meaning for me as the first students I had the privilege of teaching through all their positioning courses. Watching their growth, dedication, and commitment to excellence has been truly rewarding. I’m excited to welcome them into the profession as registered radiographers – and even more excited to call them colleagues.”

This summer, 7^th through 10^th graders can take advantage of a free 3-day camp to learn about career opportunities in early childhood education. These students will get hands-on experience working with youngsters in a classroom.

Hosted at multiple locations throughout the state by the Community College System of New Hampshire, the Concord-area camp will have direct access to the innovative lab school on 麻豆社檚 campus. The Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center, run by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire, demonstrates best practices in early childhood education and frequently hosts student teachers who are earning credentials from 麻豆社-Concord檚 Community College.

淭he goal of this summer camp is to recruit younger students who want to enter this profession in some way,� said Diana Menard, department chair of Education & Child & Family Studies at 麻豆社.

Along with working directly with children, campers will learn about child development, the importance of play, and health and safety.

The summer camp will also introduce students to unique career paths in this field. A wide variety of options are available, including pre-K teacher, speech and language specialist, para educator, occupational therapist, program director, and more.

淭his career path really is the backbone of the workforce, because families need to feel safe leaving their children in care,� said Menard.

New Hampshire has prioritized this workforce need by creating grants for future early child educators that cover tuition, fees, and books. The summer camp includes an info session on these funding opportunities.

Spurred by New Hampshire檚 growing workforce needs in the healthcare industry, 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College has launched a new certificate program. Beginning this fall, the Computed Tomography (CT) program will train students to perform a specialized type of diagnostic medical imaging.

淎s healthcare systems continue to expand and advanced diagnostic imaging services become increasingly essential, the demand for highly trained CT technologists continues to grow,� said Amy VonKadich, chair of 麻豆社檚 department of healthcare professions. 淭hese graduates will be prepared to enter the healthcare sector quickly, allowing 麻豆社 to assist our hospitals and imaging centers.�

The new CT program at 麻豆社 is available entirely online in an accelerated 8-week format and will prepare graduates for official certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). To enter the program, students must be enrolled in a radiologic technology program or be a registered radiographer.

淲e are proud to expand opportunities for both our current students and for registered radiographers seeking to advance,� said radiologic technology program coordinator Kate Marcouillier.

麻豆社 already sees a nearly 100% employment rate for graduates of its prestigious healthcare programs. CT certification will add another level of expertise to graduates of the Radiologic Technology associate degree program.

Governor Kelly Ayotte recognized Jessamyn Rockwell, extended learning opportunities coordinator at Concord High School, as part of a celebration of Early College Month. Early College, offered by the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), provides opportunities for high school students to earn college credit at low or no cost to New Hampshire families.

Rockwell was honored by the Governor for her efforts to grow the Early College program and broaden access for Concord students. Early College can be accessed within the high school classroom, fully online, or students can participate on their local community college campus攇aining direct access to faculty members and campus resources. This academic year, 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College hosted nearly 200 students in their on-campus Early College program.

“Early college programs at New Hampshire檚 community colleges enable thousands of high school students each year to earn college credit, save on college costs, and gain the confidence to thrive in postsecondary education and in careers,� said Governor Ayotte.听

CCSNH’s Early College programs help students get ahead academically while reducing college costs and debt. Through recent investments by the governor and state Legislature, students and families are expected to save at least $15 million in future college costs through CCSNH檚 Early College program.

This spring, graduates of three local high schools will receive a special scholarship to jumpstart their college educations. The award includes two free classes for the fall 2026 semester at 麻豆社-Concord檚 Community College.

This 淭ake Two� scholarship is available to all 2026 graduates of Concord High School, Merrimack Valley High School, and Second Start Alternative High School.

麻豆社-Concord檚 Community College is proud to announce their Spring 2026 Dean檚 list for academic excellence.

ApprenticeshipNH, a workforce program of the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), in partnership with 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College hosted a group of German students and faculty members in Concord April 18揗ay 2, 2026. The goal of the exchange program was to provide Berufliche Schule Pinneberg student apprentices with a job shadow experience to gain a hands-on understanding of how American business operates and to exchange perspectives on workforce development strategies.

Germany檚 apprenticeship system is widely seen as one of the most effective school-to-work pipelines in the world. Like ApprenticeshipNH’s model, it uses an earn-while-you-learn approach that blends on-the-job training with classroom learning, incorporating a strong employer role in shaping the experience to ensure students gain immediate workforce skills and high employability.

淚t is validating to see our New Hampshire program reflect many of the successful strategies used in the time-tested German model,� said Kristine Dudley, director of Workforce Training at CCSNH. 淥ur programs ensure students incur little to no debt, encompass a wide range of occupational fields, and include industry- and nationally recognized credentials. It檚 a proven and creative way for employers to build a strong local workforce pipeline and for students and job seekers to engage in an employment and learning pathway.�

To date, more than 100 employers and 1,500 individual participants have participated in the ApprenticeshipNH program, in fields that range from construction and healthcare to business, early childhood education and hospitality.

淥ne thing we can learn from our German counterparts is how to talk about apprenticeship,� said Dudley. 淥utside the US, it is viewed as a highly respected alternative to the traditional university experience. Students who participate in our apprenticeship programs gain early income and independence, experience very low rates of unemployment, and can participate in globally competitive industries. Like the community colleges themselves, apprenticeship is a smart choice. While it is deeply valued by those who know, there is room to help more people realize the strong benefits it conveys to enable students of all interests and learning styles to land in a rewarding job with advancement potential and avoid student debt.�

The German visitors were housed in residence halls at 麻豆社擟oncord檚 Community College and participated in educational opportunities at both 麻豆社 and Manchester Community College (MCC). While in New Hampshire, they visited employer sites including Grappone Automotive Group, Northeast Delta Dental, Eagle Point Investment Advisors and the state office of Business and Economic Affairs; toured sites that include the NH State House, the League of NH Craftsmen, Gibson檚 Bookstore and Bensonwood Custom Home Builders, and participated in cultural and social activities.
